- Irish police are investigating a report that two men tried to cash in on a dead man's pension. Reports said the men brought the body into a post office in an attempt to get the money. After people became suspicious, the men fled the scene, and authorities were called, reports said. The Irish Times

- Both number one seeds were taken out in the divisional round. That is the first time that has happened since 2010. All four teams that won earned the victory in the last seconds of the game.
- Evan McPherson connected a game-winning 52-yard field goal to give the Cincinnati Bengals a 19-16 win over the top-seeded Tennessee Titans.
- The top-seeded Green Bay Packers lost to the San Francisco 49ers 10-13 after Robbie Gould hit a game-winning 45-yard field goal.
- The Los Angeles Rams knocked off the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-27 when Matt Gay split the uprights with a 30-yard field goal.
- In overtime, Patrick Mahomes delivered an eight-yard pass to Travis Kelce to give the Kansas City Chiefs a victory over the Buffalo Bills 42-36. The overtime win came after Josh Allen hit a 19-yard pass to Gabe Davis with only 13 seconds left. Mahomes led the Chiefs to within field goal range so that Harrison Butker could hit a 49-yard field goal as the final seconds ticked off of regulation.
