Notion AI

Today, Notion has announced Notion AI.

Notion claims the power of AI directly into your Notion workspace. If you want to write a blog post, all you have to do is type in a prompt within Notion.

To me, this introduces all that is wrong with AI. I do not want to read a bunch of articles written by computers. This to me is a lazy approach to writing articles for a quick buck.

There are also some other things Notions AI claims to do such as helping you brainstorm ideas when you are stuck. This might actually be helpful to get out of a writing block and think of some ideas that you might not have if you didn’t have the AI on your side.

Looping in spelling/grammar and translation into AI is a bit of an overreach in my opinion as there are many options available already to assist with writing correctly. It’s great that they are including this within Notion, but is it really AI?
