For me, X has long been a way to stay connected with the sports community during games. But lately, I’ve grown increasingly uncomfortable using the platform. Between Elon Musk’s recent Nazi references and the platform’s shift toward extreme right-wing content, X no longer feels like a space I want to engage with.
This is why I fully support Reddit sports communities banning X links. It’s time to prioritize alternative sources that provide real-time updates and community interaction without the baggage.
Bluesky could be the fresh start we need to rebuild a better sports community.
It’s time to move on. By banning X links, Reddit sports subs could encourage change and foster a healthier space for fans.
